A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes through some part of the Earth's shadow. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned exactly, or very closely, with the Earth in the middle. A lunar eclipse can occur only once a month, when there is a full moon, meaning in the middle of the Jewish month. However, the eclipse could occur only twice a year. The lunar eclipse can be a partial lunar eclipse that takes place when only a part of the Moon enters the umbra. Total lunar eclipse also happens when the Moon travels completely into the Earth's umbra.
Total lunar eclipses are rare, compared to the partial lunar eclipse. The next total lunar eclipse will occurs on December 21, 2010. Don’t miss this amazing phenomenon that the natural world has created.

A SOLAR ECLIPSE
Another amazing phenomenon is a solar eclipse. What is this unique view? How is it affecting the animals' life? Animals who are active during day time usually get confused when solar eclipse happens and they think it is night time.
A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth so that the Sun is completely or partially obscured. This can only happen during a new moon, when the Sun and Moon are in conjunction as seen from the Earth. At least two and up to five solar eclipses occur each year on Earth, with between zero and two of them being total eclipses. A Total eclipse occurs when the moon covers completely the sun. A Total solar eclipse lasts at the most about 6 to 8 minutes, but visible at half of Earth.
If you are lucky, you will see one of the above mentioned phenomenons. Viewing the solar eclipses requires special eye protection. Therefore, if you see the sun eclipses make sure you wear Eclipse glasses. Maybe the most important thing is to take a picture of this one-time experience.
